National Flood Insurance Program

Effective February 22, 2010, Dallas Center residents are able to purchase federally backed flood insurance.

Reminders

Remember that it is unlawful for any owner to allow an animal to run at large within the corporate limits of the City. Please put your animal on a leash!

If you have a US Flag that needs retired, drop it off at City Hall, and the Boy Scouts will take care of it for you.

Public attendance and input is always encouraged at Dallas Center public hearings, City Council meetings, Economic Development Committee meetings, and other meetings listed in the Events Calendar.

Homeowner Incentives

Sidewalk Replacement Program

Residential and commercial property owners can install or replace their sidewalks and be reimbursed at a rate of $4.00 per running foot for the main sidewalk, and $3.75 per square foot for the handicap accessible portion.

The money is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. To qualify, a property owner must obtain a sidewalk permit and comply with all ordinances and requirements of the City for such work.

Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program

Dallas County Local Housing Trust Fund has a mission "to provide and expand safe and affordable housing to low and moderate income residents of Dallas County".

The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program assists homeowners within Dallas County with housing repairs and correcting code violations.

Awards are in the form of five-year forgivable loans to eligible households through this trust fund.
