Mowing and Tree Trimming

Lawn and tree maintenance are required of the property owner.

Property owners must mow and maintain all grasses and weeds on their property.

When mowing, do not blow your grass in the streets. During a rain storm the clippings flow with the water and will clog the storm drainage grates and system. This plugging could lead to flooding and damage to your home and those of neighbors.

Property owners are also responsible for trimming tree branches to at least 15 feet above the street and 8 feet above the sidewalk.

Owners will be notified in writing, one time only, if their property is in violation of these ordinances.

If they do not comply with the ordinances, the City will trim the trees and/or mow the property and bill the property owner, and may issue the owner a citation.
