Swimming PoolPool Information

Because of her optimistic faith in the future and her interest in young people, Lena E. Moser bequeathed $150,000 to the City of Dallas Center for a municial swimming pool which was built on land donated by the Brenton family and dedicated in 1982.  It has been a wonderful amenity for our community but due to the age of our pool (the life span of a pool is roughly 30 years), and the fact that certain repairs would require the pool meet todays building standards and ADA compliance, it was determined that a new pool would be more cost effective.  Currently an organization named Friends of the Dallas Center Pool are raising money and looking into grants to help with this effort.  Please visit them on Facebook at Friends of the Dallas Center Pool; or on their website www.dccpool.com
