Street Improvements Project 2019 (completed)

UPDATE:  The "Certificate of Completion" for this project was signed following the November 12, 2019 regular City Council meeting.


At the City Council meeting held June 11, 2019, the Council approved Resolution 2019-16 – adopting plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of costs for the 2019 Street Improvements Project. 

These improvements are for the following streets:

  • Percival Ave. – between Sycamore St. and Linden St.
  • Cherry St. – between Kellogg Ave. and 15th St.
  • Vine St - Between Kellogg Ave. and 15th St.

By making the improvements the City will be required to bring the sidewalks into ADA compliance.  This means the approaches to the crosswalks in these areas will need to have truncated domes (ramps) and will need to be widened.

*The majority of this project will be paid for with Road Used Tax (R.U.T.) funds with the City’s general fund making up the difference. The bid for this project is $284,435.00.
