Welcome to Dallas Center!

We are a community of 1900 that is proud of where we've been and excited about where we're going. Our rich heritage in agriculture has led to several local and national companies headquartered here that lead the world in animal and plant genetics. Couple that with our small-town feel and proximity to the Greater Des Moines area and it’s no wonder our community continues to rank our quality of life incredibly high while we grow.

Our recently expanded library, parks, and soon to be upgraded pool along with other recreational activities provide opportunities for our residents to unwind and build community.  We are home to two Dallas Center-Grimes School buildings offering high quality educational opportunities to our K-6 children in great new facilities. The DCG School system has strong academics, fine arts, and sports traditions.

The small business community continues to expand and our attention to the bike trail community will have you wondering why you didn’t experience all we have to offer sooner.  If you’re new to town, welcome!  If you’re a seasoned resident, thanks for all you’ve done to make Dallas Center a great place to live, raise a family, work, and play.  We look forward to what the future has to offer

Thanks for visiting!
