**Effective May 16, 2026, per Ordinance 590, the sewer rate for service will be $11.15 per 1000 gallons, but not less than $33.46 per month.
OPEN BURNING HAS ENDED – open burning will resume October 1-November 30, 2026.
YARD WASTE pick-up is every Monday (Monday Holidays are delayed one day) from April through November. Grass, leaves, twigs, etc. can be placed in brown paper bags, paper grocery bags, cardboard boxes, or trash cans. Do not use your Waste Management container or black plastic bags. Bundle sticks and branches in no more than four-foot lengths and less than 50 lbs.
MOSQUITO SPRAYING – At the meeting on May 12, 2026, the city council made the city council made the decision to discontinue mosquito spraying services.

FARMER’S MARKET - will begin June 3rd and will be held at the Heritage Park every Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm through August. We are still looking for vendors, so if anyone is interested, please email dcfarmersmarket24@gmail.com.
DALLAS CENTER POOL: Opening day is June 6th and daily hours are 12:30-7pm. If you’d like to have a pool party, please complete the application and email it to poolmanager@dallascenter.com. If you have already reached out, the pool manager will be getting back to you once we have a final count of lifeguards. We want to make sure we have the staffing for your event! BACCOON Ride – will be June 20th. The route is reversed this year so riders will be coming through later in the day and Dallas Center is the last stop before riders finish in Waukee.
