Late Fee Reinstatement Effective July 2026
Dear Residents of Dallas Center,
As we head into summer and the end of another fiscal year, we wanted to take a moment to keep you informed of an upcoming billing correction. You may have noticed that late fees have not been applied since September 2025, during our software transition due to errors in the programming. We appreciate your patience as we worked through this process.
These issues have been fully resolved, and our billing system has been updated. Starting in July 2026, late fees will resume at a rate of 10% of your total bill per Chapter 92.04.3 of the Code of Ordinance.
We want to make sure this transition is as smooth as possible for everyone, so we request the following:
- To avoid late fees, please make sure your past due balance is paid by July 15th, 2026. Late fees will be applied beginning July 16th, 2026.
- If payment in full isn’t an option right now, please reach out to us before July 15th to discuss options of a payment plan, if applicable.
- You may pay via cash, check, online or you can set up automatic payments.
