JOB OPENING

The Dallas Center Police Dept. is looking for a part time Administrative Assistant. Clerical experience, needed. Knowledge of excel programs is desired, along with organizational skills. A minimum of a high school diploma.

Applicant must have the ability to work independently. Starting pay is at $10.00 an hour with a scheduled five hours per week. Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2013, at 4:00pm.

TOBACCO ENFORCEMENT

The Dallas Center Police Department is partnering with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division to keep tobacco out of the hands of Dallas Center youth.

The program includes retailer training as well as compliance checks on local establishments.

Remember that it is unlawful for any owner to allow an animal to run at large within the corporate limits of the City. Please put your animal on a leash!

If you have a US Flag that needs retired, drop it off at City Hall, and the Boy Scouts will take care of it for you.

Public attendance and input is always encouraged at Dallas Center public hearings, City Council meetings, Economic Development Committee meetings, and other meetings listed in the Events Calendar.
