Reminders
Important Message from the Mayor:
Many of you have expressed concerns over the general upkeep of properties in town.
The concerns include automobiles, trailers, trucks and other seemingly nonoperable vehicles, yards not maintained, brush and other debris stored behind sheds and garages, etc.
One of the Economic Development Committee's (DCEDC) goals is for Dallas Center to once again have a reputation of being a well-maintained community.
We've got a ways to go, so let's all make a special effort this year!
Take a look around. If you have things on your property that really shouldn't be there, please take care of them.
The DCEDC is developing city cleanup plans that start with voluntary efforts, offer assistance to those who may need financial or physical help and will propose more of a mandatory compliance approach later on.
If you'd like to volunteer to help others who need help, just give Cindy a call at City Hall and let her know. Look for more information in the June newsletter.
Remember that it is unlawful for any owner to allow an animal to run at large within the corporate limits of the City. Please put your animal on a leash!
If you have a US Flag that needs retired, drop it off at City Hall, and the Boy Scouts will take care of it for you.
Public attendance and input is always encouraged at Dallas Center public hearings, City Council meetings, Economic Development Committee meetings, and other meetings listed in the Events Calendar.
