ATTN: Cross Development Residents
Dallas Center will be installing new asphalt pavement for the Cross County Estates and Country Living Estates neighborhoods. Grimes Asphalt is the Contractor who will perform the work. The Contractor will be working in phases within the neighborhoods. Phase 1 is the neighborhood on the west side of Highway 169. Phase 2 is the neighborhood on the east side of Highway 169. Phase 3 is 230th Street. The contractor will start by preparing the streets for pavement by strengthening the shoulder with rock material and shaping the streets with a crown. Contractor expects approximately 2 weeks to prepare the streets for pavement for each phase, depending on the weather. One lane of traffic will be available to the residents at all times during preparation of the streets. Contractor will complete Phase 1 street preparation prior to moving to phase 2.
After Phase 1 streets have been prepared, Grimes Asphalt will start installation of hot mix asphalt pavement. During installation of pavement, streets will be closed to traffic for short durations. Once Phase 1 pavement is complete, Grimes Asphalt will move to Phase 2 area. Grimes Asphalt will notify residents with door hangers of dates streets will be closed for short durations.
