Free Trees for Arbor Day Saturday, April 29th, the City of Dallas Center is partnering with the Brenton Arboretum to celebrate Arbor Day by providing free tree and shrub seedlings. The event is open to all Dallas Center area residents.
This year's featured tree is the Highbush Cranberry (Viburnum opulus), a shrub that can reach a height of 8-12 feet. It features white flowers in May to early June, and has dark green leaves that turn red in the fall.
Other trees available include: Kentucky Coffeetree, Serviceberry, Norway Spruce, Shagbark Hickory, Swamp White Oak, Bur Oak, and Hackberry. The seedlings are small, so they are easy to plant.

Quantities will be limited to 3 trees (1 featured) per address until 10:30am. From 10:30-11:00am, all remaining stock will be available with no quantity limit.
