Dallas Center parks are open from 7:00am until 11:00pm

Mound Park is situated in the west part of Dallas Center, between Walnut Street and Sycamore Street, with the main entrance located off Percival Ave.  Click here for a map of our city parks.

Designated as a park on the original town plat and used as sleeping quarters for the workers who built Dallas Center's first paved streets, this beautiful park has hosted decades of community and family events, providing shaded recreation for old and young alike.

Complemented by meticulously maintained trees and lawn, the park boasts a merry-go-round, slides, swings, an accessible play area, Ninja style course and other playground fun, a gazebo, tennis/pickleball court, roller skating rink, a sand volleyball court, a full size basketball court, picnic shelters(with electricity) and grills, benches, drinking fountains, and restrooms. (A KYBO is provided for winter use)(tennis rackets and balls and pickleball sets are available at the Roy R. Estle Memorial Library 1308 Walnut St. for public use)

Mound ParkDuring the summer, the skate rink and concession stand are open on Tuesdays and Fridays from 7:00pm until 9:00pm for "Skate Night". There is no cost for skating and roller skate and inline skate rentals are free. "Skate Nights" are for families and kids of all ages with planned themes on Friday's and fun activities and games for both nights. The rink is also available to rent for private parties. The gazebo may be reserved for private events with a fee of $25.00. Please call City Hall at (515) 992-3725 to check availability and reserve.

The picnic shelters and other park facilities are available during open hours on a first-come, first-served basis; no reservations or fees.
