Raccoon River Valley Trail

The trailhead for the Raccoon River Valley Trail in Dallas Center is located in Heritage Park at 14th St. and Walnut St. next to the downtown business district. This area has heated restrooms that are open year round, a picnic table, bike racks, a bike repair station, and electronic device charging stations.  Click here for a map of our city parks.

 Located south of Vine Street on the west side of the trail (near the Lena Moser Pool) feel free to stop and have a picture taken in

EnjoRotary Benchy the view of the trail while seated on the new bench, donated by the Dallas Center Rotary Club, located south on the trail by the walkway to Spurgeon Manor's new assisted living building. As this bench is metal, it is not recommended to shelter here during a thunder storm.
                                                                                                           

 

MBenches along the bilke trailore benches have been donated and added along the trail near the Highway 44 intersection. Sit a bit and watch the bikes and cars.
